Recently I made a pie for my cousin Renee.  When I make a pie for some special occasion I like to take the left over dough and create a lovely design for the top of the crust-- leaves with an apple blossom or cherries on a stem, etc.
I got a little flack for making "generic" pies for the family: pies that taste just fine but don't have all the bells and whistles on top.  
So I decided to send a message.  :D


Whipped cream, anyone?
